DEWITT, MI — Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Leonard will continue his conversations about Michigan agriculture with farmers, agribusiness leaders, and agricultural innovators from across the state when he visits the AGROEXPO Farm Show in St. Johns from 1:30p – 3:00p on Tuesday August 12th.

“Michigan’s farmers are the backbone of our economy and a cornerstone of our communities,” Leonard said. “From the crops they grow to the jobs they create; agriculture touches every corner of our state.

To ensure that this, and the next, generation can thrive in this vital industry, we need to make sure Lansing is working with those in the agriculture community, not against them.”

Leonard’s visit to AGROEXPO will include conversations with local producers, tours of equipment demonstrations, and meetings with vendors showcasing new technology designed to increase efficiency and sustainability on Michigan farms.
